Chelsea will be lock horns with Irish outfit Drogheda United in a pre-season friendly on Thursday evening, according to reports.
After series of training session at Cobham, Thomas Tuchel’s men have jet off to Ireland on Tuesday to continued their preparations ahead of 2021-22 campaign.
Individual and fitness training are believed to be focusing of entirely Thomas Tuchel’s men, but scheduling of face a local side in a friendly match was also part of Chelsea plans in Dublin.
However, reports by football.london, claim the Champions League holder will take on Drogheda United at their current training location just outside of Dublin.
Kick-off is scheduled for 6:30pm, with the match itself set to take place behind closed doors.
Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic are expected to take part in Thursday’s clash against Drogheda United after the pair impressed in Chelsea 6-1 win over Peterborough United last Saturday.
