Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was seen showing his appreciation to Takehiro Tomiyasu after the defender produced solid display in Gunners’ victory at Burnley last summer.
The Japan international, who joined the London club on deadline day from Bologna in a region of £16million, had a solid debut against Norwich City early this month and put in another efficient defensive display at Burnely last Saturday.
The right-back won 100 percent of his ground and aerial duels (5/5) at Turf Moor. He also made five clearances alongside one tackle and one interception.
However, immediately after the final whistle against Burnley Mikel Arteta was walking straight to Tomiyasu, and showing his appreciation to the defender.
The Japanese also received huge positive emotions from his team-mates following limping after played full 90 minutes in Saturday’s 1-0 at Burnely.
